Are you an experienced General Manager, looking for a new challenge with one of the largest players in the industry?With experience ideally in a branded environment but not essentially, you will need to be focused on driving sales, service standards and how to get the best out of your team.You will need to help develop and train your team to deliver exceptionally high standards and have an eye for detail. You will need to know how to get the best out of the business. You should have a forward thinking but fun nature and an enthusiastic attitude towards work but more essential is passion about the business.
General Manager Job Role
·As Manager you will be a brand champion. Your attention is split between, standards, P&L, team and man-management but ultimately your guests. You love them.You will be passionate about ensuring that you have exceeded every guest experience and look forward to them passing positive comments on to you as they leave. You will be saying goodbye, but willing them back to your store as soon as possible. Accountable for the management of the restaurant on a day to day basis, both front and back of house, ensuring that the correct standards and results are in place if not; to take corrective action
·To achieve restaurant budgeted sales and costs targets
·To maintain staff discipline and take necessary action where appropriate, follow company procedures.
·To ensure staff and management appraisals and ongoing training are completed to time and in compliance both with relevant legislation and company procedures. to also ensure that development solutions are in place as appropriate
·To ensure all company policies, procedures and standards are adhered to and that the restaurant operates within all relevant employment legislation and to implement and communicate any changes in the law as they occur
·To take full accountability for coaching and developing junior managers, seek into a constantly improve their knowledge and abilities.Also to take a role in communicating with the team through staff briefings
General Manager Key Attributes
Preferably from a high volume, branded environment, you will be an expert in maximising the sales & in turn delivering the profits. You must be a very “hands-on” manager, and able to articulate your quick decision making skills. You must be as passionate about the product that you are serving, as you are about your guests. After all, their opinion really matters to you. You wear your heart on you sleeve and continually strive to better yourself and your career.
You will be conversant with current and future legislation, with regards to food safety (H.A.C.C.P), health & safety, employment law, & licensing. Ideally you will have a BII personal licence.
As a prospective employee you must be able to demonstrate that you are either an UK / EU resident, or hold a relevant and valid work permit or visa.
